Description

Ernest Hemingway might have been a lot of things, WWI ambulance driver, author, international journalist and longtime recluse, but one thing is certain, the man loved a drink. None more so than the mojito. During his Cuban period, Hemmingway was said to consume the iconic minty beverage in large quantities at La Bodeguita del medio, a bar in the heart of the old Havana. (Local rumor maintains that the drink was actually invented at the bar in 1942.) While Hemmingway died in 1961, his love of the mojito ignited a global love affair with the mint-flavored beverage, now available at bars from Havana to Helsinki.

Hmm…a minty beverage with a cool historical angle? Sounds like a great idea for a new tea blend! So, to celebrate Ernest Hemingway’s beverage of choice, we’ve crafted a luxury green tea positively bursting with lime and mint. The blend starts with a luxury grade, Japanese-style Sencha to which we’ve added dried lemon peel, sweet lime pieces and all-natural mint flavor. The result is a cup that quenches the palate and whisks the mind to sunny climes in the south. Whether you enjoy it with a dash of milk and sugar, served over ice, or blended as a mixer for rum or tequila you simply can’t go wrong. Que rico!
